Day 26-江汉路步行街

Today, we went to meet Ms Neo at 10am for the ‘lecture meeting’ due to the incident which we came down late during the Wudang Mountain trip. Upon reaching our classroom, she told us to tell her the real reason why we are late and wanted us to write a reflection about the incident. Being late was a fact, thus no matter what happen to me there was really no excuse to explain why I was late. When everyone know that we have to write a 500 word reflection, everybody mood was affected. However as we have all realize our mistake, we accept the punishment without further complaining. We write till 3pm and went to 江汉路步行街。However, this time round Sihao and Fathullah also followed us along.

We bring them to eat 煎包and 豆花。
Thereafter, we walk around to shop for a while before going to have our dinner. As me and Ron have been eating Ajisen for a few times thus we did not join them. Instead we went to the streets to eat yong dao fu. Thereafter, we went to meet them before going to wal-mart to buy boxes of yummy chocolate for the teachers. When we reach there, everybody went to buy their own stuff. Ling Li started by buying one whole trolley full of poky(Biscuits). My friends saw what ling li have bought, thus in the end they also brought a lot for themselves.

After buying all the stuff, we went back to our hostel to start wrapping the presents and writing of cards. We prepare all the stuff until 3am then when back to our respective rooms to sleep.

Reflection: I can shop at Wal-Mart for a long period of time. This is because there is simply too much to see and buy. There are a variety of flavors of biscuits available that we could not find in Singapore. For example, in Singapore we could only have strawberry or chocolate flavors. In china, there are very unique and special flavors such as blueberry, lime, orange, grapefruit and even papaya. All these interesting flavors are really worth trying and tasting. With a plentiful of choices for consumers to choose from, consumer’s welfare increase. I feel that Singapore should learn from China and sell all these unique flavors of biscuits. This not only increases consumer welfare but at the same time it can creates employment and economic growth. Singapore will need to employ more workers to produce these biscuits.

In addition, I feel that having limited choices means that we have to eat the same kind of flavor and this can really be very boring. Having a variety flavors of biscuits, could really spice up our life.
